Traditional Marketing is a promotional strategies and a broad category that incorporates many forms of advertising. It is a marketing and promotional tactics used by the companies prior to the internet marketing .Traditional marketing is conventional method of marketing and involve advertising through magazines,telephone, newspaper,radio ,TV, flyers , brochures etc.

Traditional marketing is anything except digital means to brand your product or logo.

I hope you have understood what is traditional marketing ? Traditional marketing is one and only marketing method or we can say approach on which whole business world depend from many years till the arrival of internet and social media.With the development of world  new marketing methods also emerged and we call that digital marketing or internet marketing .We will talk about digital marketing in our upcoming post lets focus here only on traditional marketing.

In traditional marketing companies use conventional advertising ,promotion and marketing methods to achieve their desired goal.

It is the most common marketing method used by any companies whether it is small,medium or large.In traditional marketing, companies use their unique point and quality to differentiate them from their competitors .To do so they use different media and marketing tools like newspapers,magazines ,posters,TV,radio,flyers,billboards,mailers etc.

Most traditional marketing strategies fall under one of four categories: print, broadcast, direct mail, and telephone.

Mostly all traditional marketing strategies used by companies comes under one of  four category- Print, Broadcast, Direct mail, and Telephone but I’ll also include fifth one ,the  most overlooked means that is referral.

    Print Marketing is the oldest form of traditional marketing commonly it is called paper advertising.Print advertising include advertising products and services through newspapers,
    magazines,brochures,newsletters.

    Broadcast

    Television ,radio advertisements and on-screen movie theater advertising comes under Broadcast Marketing.Broadcast marketing help companies to reach a mass public within a short period of time .It has shorter life span than print marketing but effective because visual content attract better.It is costly.

    Direct Mail

    Direct mail :It is targeted type of traditional marketing strategy.Companies use this method to create a awareness about their products by targeting market.Direct mail marketing is done by using printed material like brochures,postcards,fliers,catalogs,letters and other printed material.It is also expensive because of designing and printing cost and also of mailing cost to reach target market.

    Telemarketing

    Through Telephone marketing or telemarketing companies tries to convince their existing or potential customers to sell their products and services.

    Referral Marketing

    Referral marketing is spreading the word about a product or service through a business’ existing customers, rather than traditional advertising.Such referrals often happen spontaneously but businesses can influence this through appropriate strategies.

Traditional marketing has become less popular nowadays yet, it is here to stay till magazines, newspapers and television are surrounding our world.
